Same Mistake Twice

i`m not sure of what the lyrics are about but the music just does something to me everytime i hear it.it makes me feel like i can be happy(if that makes sense)

The first time I heard this was while I was walking. I flew. =) It's a great song. I guess it just says that you shouldn't just go the same paths all the time, because it may be a mistake and you won't realize that, until you're dead.

It means live your life and if you mess up oh well just keep on going.

"Lost in a barrel of wine and whining"

It seems like it may be about someone who is an alcoholic and may or may not realize it and will not correct themselves and stop drinking

"Wouldn’t I speak up if I’m a true friend"

And the persons friends won't confront him about his drinking problems

I think this song is great and it really speaks to me.

I feel that this song is a warning about indulgences and addictions.

"The more you strengthen your denial The more you turn to your desire"

To me it means; ignoring your problems, will only aggravate the problem.

I can relate to the feelings of getting caught in something ... for a second time, and feeling trapped. You worry about the problem and feel that there is no way out. While it could be an alcoholism problem like Theillbehaviored had mentioned, it could also be saying that the person feels "lost" and is turning to alcohol or other indulgences to immediately gratify the issue, but obviously it only gets the person more tangled in the mess they've created.

Despite all of this, the speaker is saying that it is ok to have fallen in to a relapse, but telling the person to look at themselves from the outside in hopes that these mistakes will not control his friend's life.

This song speaks about how it may take a few tries to correct problems in your life, but if you keep repeating mistakes and aren't even trying to correct them well then you must be insane....Especially if you expect a different outcome from doing the same thing over and over again. You also need to recognize the problem, and not ignore it in order to defeat it in life. I also hear mentioned the use of intoxicants, as a means of a crutch and how they will just make the problem worse instead of fixing it when you are dealing with heavy issues already. It seems as though the subject in the song is surrounding himself with other people like him as well, and obviously they aren't saying anything either as they are in the same situation or not a real friend and do not care. And if you don't attempt to correct your mistakes right away you will miss the tell take signs until eventually you have lost all control towards this problem and most likely many others.
