(Do you want to shine?)

Excuse me sir, excuse me ma'am
Pardon me kin, welcome family and friends
It's so nice to feel you
It's like I can see you there
The outline of your face, your skin, your stance, your hair
And damn, you give me chills
You startled my sleep, my eat, my walk, my talk
Just all around my being
But that's okay
Walk into me with open arms
Kiss my face
When I sleep I enjoy your charm and...

Hey, I am dying to see you
Much like you've died to see me
What's it like to be you?
To be bathed in the sun it seems

Hello friend standing across that room
I turn to you, but you keep fading
Do you remember when I was a child
You came to me for a while
With much less sunbathing
Give me wings with your arms on my skin
I feel you but it is though you're not in the room
The peripheral people purposely prowling to side of my eye
Day and night
All the time and...

Hey, I am dying to see you
Much like you've died to see me
What's it like to be you?
To be bathed in the sun it seems

Do you want to shine?
I say yes like the sun, like the sun
No, no, no
Do you want to shine?
I say yes like the sun, like the sun
No, no, no
Do you want to shine?
I say yes like the sun, like the sun
No, no, no
Do you want to shine?
Like the sun, like the sun

I am dying to see you
Much like you've died to see me
What's it like to be you?
To be bathed in the sun it seems

Bain sees ghosts, and that's what he wrote this song about.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
