i know it's been a long long year
god forbid you listen to me now
i may have laid the pressure on good
but since that day
i'll never ask again

it's funny it's come right down to this
i have to steal my time
cause you won't give it up for free
i been talking to the moon all night
but the stars won't say nothing to me

and though i feel it's easy for a man to grow up
much harder for a man to grow out
you may not appear, but i'm standing here
my god

i'll never ask you
where have you been
you coulda told me just
where have you been
cause if you know me you know
i won't ask why
they always told me you'd be
right on my time
we're coming around

i know you're kinda busy right now
been a day, but i haven't heard your call
i climbed a mountain just to get a better view of you
but i'll never ask again

it's crazy that we just can't feel the time
and lay down for awhile
and let life catch your eye
i been relaxing with the wind all day
but the sky won't open up for me

and though i feel it's easy for a man to stand tall
much harder for a man to simmer down
you may not appear, but i'm standing here
my god

i'll never ask you
where have you been
you coulda told me just
where have you been
if you know me you know
i won't ask why
they always told me you'd be
right on my time
we're coming around

if you give me just a minute of your day
i see now why you choose to stay away
up here life seems more like living
and living mirrors love
and love just leaves me breathless
on we go

i'll never ask you
where have you been
you coulda told me just
where have you been
if you know me you know
i won't ask why
they always told me you'd be
right on my time
we're coming around

you act like you can't see me
you act like you don't know me
i just wish that you would show me
that you'd be right on my time

you act like you can't see me
you act like you don't know me
i just wish that you would show me
that you'd be right on my time

right on my time
right on my time
right on my

This song is not necessarily about religion. Marc Roberge said on the dvd that none of the guys in band are really religious, but that the saying was universal to them, meaning that "Things may not come when you want them to, but they will be Right On Time"

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
