She really broke my heart in two.
Four years later, I still never forgave her.
The thing is when I was ready to
I had completely dismissed her
Now I think I’m driving through her state.

And I’m not ready for some burnt down bridge just yet.
And I’m not saying that I want anything from you.
The only thing I really want now if I see you, Suze,
is if we drove side by side on a highway in the beehive state,
that we could honk and wave.

So I’ll just keep taking the 15 through.
It’s kind of early so I’m swerving.
There’s really nothing else to do
except sit and keep steering, thinking, driving through her state.

I wonder of a way that I could make her feel like an ass without her thinking I’m trying to do that.

General CommentThey're on tour, which is why all the songs on this CD are about driving and the meanings are really obvious.

I love their music, but their lyrics ain't nothin special.

General Commenti disagree. don't get me wrong, i love the complexity of lyrics by brand new, boys night out, dashboard confessional, etc., but limbeck's achieved what they have yet to do: they've written a song about an ex that is neither bitter nor regretful. their lyrics are honest and have a simplicity that you can really relate to. sometimes a little goes a long way.

General CommentYeah, that's what I appreciate about this song. It's how I feel about certain people... you just hope that you can, ya know, honk and wave and make things okay. That's what's so special about this song. Each song has a different story, it's neat.

General CommentI agree completely with allstardork.

Anyway, in my opinion, this song is pretty much getting over an ex and trying to actually "just be friends" again. It's like if they honk and wave, you know that you've parted on good terms and do not regret ever meeting. Or something like that.

General Commentsimonster, i'd have to disagree. . . they're lyrics are amazing, just not complex. You don't have to listen to it over and over to relate.
