Greetings in Braille

If my senses fail,
stay with me 'til they go 'cause I don't wanna be alone.
Greetings in braille, they'll describe everything, colors aren't everything.
And if you see me, down at the liquor store, please don't tell my dad.
And if you see my dad, down at the liquor store, don't tell me anything at all.
And the people you brought were just drainpipes bringing trash to the ground.
And your memories are just picture cards, one night stands and breakdowns.
And you were cold, tired and old as you'd ever looked that night.
And we were warned, yeah. We were warned not to stay out too late.
But somethings were worth getting in
trouble for.
So now that you finally failed
just like you said you would, down to the last detail.
Well if living's such hell,
here's to your dying days.
You won't have to be afraid.
And the heroes you met were just fiction,
yeah, with high expectations.
And your friends grew up faster than you got successful,
told you to keep it up.
Good comes to those who work.
And the stories they told you were true, babe.
Your mom really went crazy.
But that doesn't have to be you.
No.
And I miss Tara and Melissa, Allen and John.
And you'll never have friends like you did when you were young.
But our bodies were pulled away and swept out to the sea
And I'd call and say hi if I thought you'd remember me
cause somethings are worth leaving old memories for.
If my senses fail, stay with me 'til they go cause I don't wanna be alone.
Greetings in Braille, should describe everything
'cause you can't see anything from here.
From here, you can't see nothing at all.

wow, I can't believe that no one has posted anything about any of the songs. I love the Elected. Their music is definitely something I don't listen to everyday. And I love Blake's lyrics. I guess living here on Earth is kinda like reading in Braille; you're feeling your way through something without really "seeing."

The first time I heard this song was on a mix my friend made for me as I was driving to college for the first time. So beautiful and meaningful i love it. I saw Rilo in concert and tried to get him to sing it, and he laughed at me, it was great.

Greetings in Braille, should describe everything 'cause you can't see anything from here. From here, you can't see nothing at all.

Everything is pretty straight foward, but a lot of my friends with really shitty music taste laugh at the main line. As if it's stupid. It's not, and it says a lot very metaphorically. Obviously, memories are equivalent to getting descriptions through something as undescriptive as braille.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
