Welcome to the circus
Leave your brain outside
Sit back - relax
As we feed you lies

Spoon fed stimulation
Glittering fashion fascination
You are lost in the game
Media corruption

You'll be amused
By the things we do to you
But in the bitter end
The clown is you

End of the line
You sold your soul
For a better life
You are better off dead

You had one life
You had one shot
You blew it
And you knew it
The rot sets in
No self control
At the end of the line
You play the fool

I agree with bananaseller there, to me, once you get to a certain point of fame, the media will make up lies about you, as if becoming famous is selling your soul, its isnt your soul, its the media's, im still not too sure, still a great song, with amotts voice, tis great. solo is awesome too XD

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
