"Crawling With Idiot" as written by Guy Edward John Garvey, Mark Potter, Craig Lee Potter, Richard Barry Jupp and Peter James Turner....
It's crawling with idiot
I'm itching to leave
I'm soft with fatigue I need something

I've never seen anything quite like you
In here

Come on it's not serious
I just need arms tonight

You're blue collar pride
And you're loose cotton cool
You're wilting a little
Nothing grows down here

Me and you

General CommentI think this song is about a guy going to a bar that isn't very nice, and then meeting a girl there, and trying to convince her to spend just one night with him.

General Commentand as far as I remember some interviews with Guy I think the girl was a barmaid and the guy was Guy and a bunch full of drunk folks...
But when I think how Guy sings this I wonder why he could not convince the barmaid...he sounds so heartrending lovable there...

My InterpretationA good old-fashioned 'torch song', full of aching and yearning and need... but there's no pretence of it being a need for true love, just a need for a moment of connection with someone, anyone. It's a song about that slightly sweet loneliness you feel when drunk and alone in the early hours.
