Rabbithole Lyrics
I fell asleep about a year ago
I'm dreaming now with the coma fools
I hit my head on the rabbit hole
Long way down
Is this the dream that I always had
Cold sweats with some cocktail jazz
Never thought I could hit this high
Long way down
She said it doesn't have to feel this way
Sit down boy 'cause you don't have to go
'Cause we can get high again
Yeah we can get high yeah
We can get high again
We can just fly
I felt a twitch a couple months ago
I'm floating now in a tear duct pool
I ripped my shirt on a blowtorched fence
Long way down
Always up to no good
Always sad
When you're in the forest
Don't look back
Chorus
I'm dreaming now with the coma fools
I hit my head on the rabbit hole
Long way down
Cold sweats with some cocktail jazz
Never thought I could hit this high
Long way down
Sit down boy 'cause you don't have to go
'Cause we can get high again
Yeah we can get high yeah
We can get high again
We can just fly
I'm floating now in a tear duct pool
I ripped my shirt on a blowtorched fence
Long way down
Always sad
When you're in the forest
Don't look back

i think this song is about a guy who had problems.. so getting high was his way out, but then he got addicted... yeah im probably wrong. but its still an awesome song to rock out to.
i think its about how being high brings you down... the rabbit hole is like in alice in wonderland, where the whole thing is jus a ridiculous dream that makes no sense. but she jus says, we can do it again, so he jus does, and stays in his nonsensical fantasy world
An interesting part is the third verse, about the twitch. Is that the realization that your life basically consists of sitting in your room doing drugs? The tear-duct pool, obviously a sign of crying. Also, he says when you're in the forest don't look back, when you're lost, don't think about whats outside or else you'll feel more lost.
I was laying in bed earlier thinking of this song and it struck me. This is about having a bad trip. Every trip takes you down the rabbit hole, but he hit his head. The dream he's having is "cold sweats and some cocktail jazz" it's not a good thing, it's never described as something good. He's about to leave, but "she" says that he could have a good trip, he just has to get high again and try it out one more time.
Again, let me school you all. This is a heroin album. All of these songs are about heroin. Well, not all, but a lot of them are. It isn't deep - it is thinly veiled references to doing smack - loving smack, and especially doing smack with some chick.
