Build a Bridge (feat. Brian "Head" Welch) Lyrics
Takes me there everytime
Lay it all on the line
If there’s a way
Overlook the aftermath
Make my tears be your bath
If there’s a way
Go with me to the other side
Even though it’s gonna crumble down
I’ll keep building till you come around
Even though it’s gonna fall apart, break my heart
I’ll keep building ‘till i die
Stretch it out overseas
To the end of the world
If there’s a way
Send my longing down the drain
Have no reasons to complain
If there’s a way
Go with me to the other side

Well that's quite possible digiorno.
To me it's about being in love with a girl who does not love you back and you've had a fight with her about that for some time ago for what she still hasn't forgiven you. She ignores you but you try to get back to her: building a bridge. She doesn't fit with you (but who does?) so even if you do get a relationship it won't last for long, but it would be worth it. If you never get it, so be it but you won't give up. Exactly the thing that's happening to me =S.

i don't care what Fred Drust said, but in my opinion i think the songs abut long distance realitionships, the guy is trying to to get to her "build a bridge" is a metaphor for reaching out to her, he trying really hard to get to her, but it's not working out, and she's kind of fading away as well, but he won't give up..
"Even though it’s gonna fall apart, break my heart I’ll keep building ‘till i die"..

i think that he is singing about. a friend or Girlfriend and she died and he wants to be with her and the bridge is coming down he is going to keep building until he get to her even if he has to die doing it.

i think its bout a hot babe that he(fred) was dating for a short time, but then i think she was involved in a car crash and died but fred wants 2 be with her till the end of his life i think it was a blonde

wow, no ones commented on this one yet... this song has quite a bit of meaning for me, not so much the lyrics but more the fact that i played it over and over and over again when i was on holiday in Cape Town (my home), when i was free from my family and could do what i want and of course, a guy i met...reminds me of all that...
while im at it, i must say, the drumming is absolutely brilliant in certain parts, the best part is 3 mins and 22 secs into the song :)

yes!!! i fucking agree with you Der Bulle. i feel u all the way.lol

to me this song means something alittle more. i think fred is trying to say that teh bridge is love or a relationship and the other side is love. and as we all know eraltionship or love goes up and down and thats when he has to build the brige again. and al the other details in thesong about the bridge like its "gonna crumble down ill keep building tell you come around" is that he is never going to give up, or the "if theres a way" is jsut any way to build taht bridge of love he going to do it until she comes around.

knowin limp bizkit, i doubt this song is that deep. either way i love this song. the chorus rules. rmv is a way more toned down album than anything lb has done, but i still like it alot. but u cant beat the old school in-your-face rapping. fred is a pretty good singer, though

he said in on mtv that he wrote it with the inspiration of angelina jolie's photo; about her

I agree with Der_Bulle. Its kinda like one mans obsession with this woman he knows doesnt like him back. He keeps gettin shot down but he still tries. Hes tryin to tell her to just give him a chance you never know it may become something special. But until then hes going to try and get her no matter what it takes.
