This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:
"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"
So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:
"I had all and then most of you"
Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart
"Some and now none of you"
Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship.
This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
It feels retarded
Oh, if you like me, will you be there tonight?
Do you mean it when you say, when you say
Fixing up my hair
I want to impress you
Today and every day, okay
Okay, okay, okay
Somebody implant
I want to be careless, too
So much waiting
So much sitting alone
When you say what you say
It's not what I thought
It's really nothing at all
I'm not who you want, alright
Alright, alright, alright
Bunny gamer, stand out
Bunny gamer
Where have you been all of my life?
Bunny gamer, take me with you
Okay, okay, okay, okay
Bunny gamer, sit down
Bunny gamer
Where have you been all night?
Bunny gamer, leave me alone, alright
Alright, alright, alright
Oh, if you like me, will you be there tonight?
Do you mean it when you say, when you say
Fixing up my hair
I want to impress you
Today and every day, okay
Okay, okay, okay
Somebody implant
I want to be careless, too
So much waiting
So much sitting alone
When you say what you say
It's not what I thought
It's really nothing at all
I'm not who you want, alright
Alright, alright, alright
Bunny gamer, stand out
Bunny gamer
Where have you been all of my life?
Bunny gamer, take me with you
Okay, okay, okay, okay
Bunny gamer, sit down
Bunny gamer
Where have you been all night?
Bunny gamer, leave me alone, alright
Alright, alright, alright

Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
a cute girl who plays video games
his voice is perfect on this track, but then again its perfect on all of his tracks. Go see him live before he starts playing bigger (more expensive) venues!
i think its pretty obvious that this song is about wanting someone else to like you. but i still dont know what the hell a 'bunny gamer' is?
his voice is impeccable.
I love this song, one of the best on "Fabulous Muscles". It's basically about his obsessive, one-sided love of a bunny gamer - which I imagine to be a cute, anime girl [or possibly boy, Jamie is bi and the lyrics to mention any gender] who plays video games.
a the differnt stages of a relationship and how they contrast with such different feelings for the same person. being eager to see them at first and wanting to 'impress' them. then as the relationship progresses doubt comes into the picture along with let down and realizing that everything is doomed. i have heard that 'bunny gamer' is a pet name jamie uses for a love... or it might just be one specific person. i'll have to go back to my source and see if that is true. but this is definately my favorite song off of fabulous muscles
This song is highly relative to my current situation. A careless, outrageous girl or boy is after Jamie, which in fact, reminds me of a reclusive loner who stays in his apartment room writing about this special someone.
I'm waiting for someone tonight, and I love the anticipation, oh yeah!
i think this is about meeting someone new and becoming obsessed with him because you don't see every aspect of his personality immediately. the first stage is wanting to impress that person, the next is denial, cause that person doesn't like you,and the final stage is you trying to forget about that and fuck him up in your mind by saying ''leave me alone, alright alright alright?''. and when you meet more people like that and go through everything again and again, then it's what jamie says ''sit down stand up'' cause it's always up and down moments for you. it's the best on FM for me.
i think a bunny gamer is just a girl who plays games...lead jamie on...etc etc.. the way i relate to it best is this part right here :So much waiting, so much sitting alone When you say what you say, It's not what I thought, it's really nothing at all I'm not who you want, Alright, alright alright, alright"
me, persoannly, have been stood up many times and ive also had a few girls give me the "im not who want alright?" bologna Arent i just a losah?!
"It's not what I thought, it's really nothing at all I'm not who you want, Alright, alright alright, alright"
my favorite part of the song. i listened to this song after a breakup and it fit pretty well with the situation. accepting rejection, one of the hardest things to do.
