Never love anyone else a promise you made to yourself there's a box with his ring on the
Shelf and it's tarnished the burden of liars and thieves is the baggage that you brought overseas
No matter if you beg and you plead this is over

Whoa that's just the way it would go
No matter how the dice didn't roll you'll never be alone.

A promise, a vow, a commitment the bottle won't help you forget this,
I'm swearing as God as my witness, this is sorry

Whoa that's just the way it would go, no matter how the dice didn't roll, you'll never be alone.
Wondering is it anything that he did?
What's the reason you're ruining this?
Never be alone, words on pages won't replace this

i think this song has a lot to do with matt pryor seeing ryan (the bassists) marriage fall apart. matt said in AP that he's at a great point in his life, so a lot of the songs on the album are about ryan's marriage ending. i think this song is a more "pick me up" type vibe, saying that even if his girl left him, ryan has still got all of his friends.

er, ryan is the drummer, your got your popes mixed up. But yeah, i'm fairly sure you're right and this is about Rob's marriage to someone in the anniversary, or so the rumor goes, the ending is the best part of the song.

Yea, it's Rob Pope, and yea that whole Anniversary thing is true, and it's definatly about that, as is most of their newest album. If you don't know, Rob was married to the co-singer/keyboard player of The Anniversary, and because of that, tguk helped out the Anniversary a ton...like getting them on Vagrant. Basically she cheated on Rob with the other singer of the Anniversary (I'm like 98% sure it was the singer). Bitchy whore slut! Poor Rob. But as you may have seen, the Anniversary also died, so hahahahahhahahahahha!

this song really hits home for me. my wife recently broke our marriage vows and cheated on me. that ripped me up inside and now i'm really depressed and wanting to hurt him or her or me. but she begged me for another chance, and i am giving her one, but it's so hard to let go of everything i'm feeling, all that betrayal, all this seemingly insurmountable pain and heartache. i love my wife with all my being, but this is something i'm going to have to work through, unfortunately, alone basically....i am sad :(

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
