To Live, Do you want to... Live!
Do you want to live?
Do you want to live?
Do you want to live?

I know this girl with a needle in her eye
The red dragons fucking circles through her skull
16 dragons to appease the tracks upon her soul
Grip the shit twice a day, to shut out all the pain

I can't take it anymore
I can't take it anymore.
Take this needle from my vein
Take it from my vein
All I feel is pain
All I feel is pain
Distantly live
My blood stains

The traps around me tell a tale, of what you heal and what you feel
Do you want to live? Do you want to live?
Take that needle, fly away, remove it from your eyes
Do you want to live? Well, do you want to live?

I can't take it anymore
I can't take it anymore.
Take this needle from my vein
Take it from my vein
All I feel is pain
All I feel is pain
Distantly live
My blood stains

When it all comes down, your the one thing in your life
And you make the world that we hate inside
Everything, is crying on me, it's gone, I've been gone, your gone

I can't take it anymore
I can't take it anymore.
Take this needle from my vein
Take it from my vein
All I feel is pain
All I feel is pain
Distantly live
My blood stains

Pretty awesome song, starts really great, but it has a very weak and annoying ending. This reminds me a little bit of my favorite band, Mudvayne, a song like "A New Game" especially, go check it out as well if you liked this one! It even has an official video.

This is my least favorite song on the new album, honestly. The chorus makes me think it's about turning away from drugs after you figure out that they don't help.

Then why is it you're least favorite? Quitting drugs is a remarkable and very good thing.. This is a BEAUTIFUL song.

this song is talking about a important woman in his life who is addictied to using needles to dull the pain. the first verse makes this painfully clear

Holy SHIT THESE LYRICS ARE WRONG.

These are the real lyrics, LOL.

To Live, Do you want to... Live!? Do you wanna live? Do you wanna live? Do you want to live?

I know this girl with a needle in her arm The red dragon walking circles through her soul She chases dragon to apiece the track upon her soul She cooked the shit twice today to shut out the pain

I can't take it anymore I can't take it anymore. Take this needle from my vein Take it from my vein All I feel is pain All I feel is pain There's nothing left But blood stains

I can't take it anymore I can't take it anymore. Take this needle from my vein Take it from my vein All I feel is pain All I feel is pain There's nothing left But blood stains

When it all comes down, does the one thing end your life And you make the world that we hate inside Everything, is crying on me, it's gone, I've become your god

I can't take it anymore I can't take it anymore. Take this needle from my vein Take it from my vein All I feel is pain All I feel is pain There's nothing left But blood stains

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
