I will do without
The spaces in between
If you can tell me now
What it means to be

You have been found out
I have been deceived
By the one that I need

Tell me why you gotta be so cold
How'd you get so high
Why you're keeping me low
You dont know, you don't know
Tell me how we're gonna make it last
You're ready to fly
I'm ready to crash
Don't go, don't go, no

You will go without
A better part of me
There will be no doubt
What this all could mean
You will be found out
I can not believe
In the one that I need

Tell me why you gotta be so cold
How'd you get so high
Why you're keeping me low
You don't know, you don't know, don't know
And tell me how we're gonna make it last
You're ready to fly
I'm ready to crash
Don't go, don't go away

Tell me why you gotta be so cold
How'd you get so high
Why you're keeping me low
You don't know, you don't know, you don't know
And tell me how we're gonna make it last
You're ready to fly
I'm ready to crash
Don't go
Yeah, don't go

Tell me why you gotta be so cold
Tell me anything about you I don't know
I don't know by now
Know by now
Tell me how we're gonna make it last
You're ready to fly
I'm ready to crash
Don't go
Yeah, don't go

i feel like this song is about being with someone whos sort of using you for whatever reason, like they dont love you but you really love them and there sort of using you to get to a better place if that makes any sense

"Tell me why you gotta be so cold How'd you get so high Why you keep me low"

And even tho there treating you like shit you would rather that then not be with them at all

i think its about a a guy who breaks up with a girl even though they are in love. after the relationship is over the guy is going off and having hookups with lots of people while the girl is just stuck there, still moping. and then the guy realizes his mistakes and wants to get back together, but the girl is hesitant and does anyway because she loves him, but stays cautious.

yeah, I agree with you bitta, that's how I view this song! it's so intense and wound up, I looove it. it was awesome live, too. =P

"tell me anything about you I don't know,"

    I love that line.

I relate to this song, but I wound up having to leave the person. it was just too painful to try anymore... the best part is when that person blames YOU for leaving. yeah, right.. my ass.

It's so sad...MB20 know exactly how to touch me. I think it's about someone being mistreated as well...and yet being too attached to let go...while the other person obviously doesn't care that much... I've been there and it still hurts a lot.

My favourite line: "I have been deceived by the one that I need" :(

Hmmm Cold is pretty much about a relationship where the guy loves the girl more than she loves him. The word "fly" could mean that she's ready to leave the relationship and he's basically saying that he doesn't want that, but if she goes, then she's going to regret it: "you will go without, the better part of me" also the whole notion of cold could suggest she doesn't really care too much about what she's doing to his emotional state and feelings.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
