Whatever You Became Lyrics

Whatever you became
Blame it on my fame
Always away from you
Sold my life for a song
Whatever you killed
The blood got on my face
See it took over you
and your minds nearly gone
[Chorus]
and I can't change my ways
Sorry it's my fault
I wasn't there to see
Whatever you became
Whatever you became
Whatever you became
you blame it on blind faith
can't turn away from you
what's my life if your gone
Whatever you feel
I take it on my stage
I sing to the world for you
and I'm always alone
[Chorus]
I can see it all
You're so far away
I can't take this anymore
I can't live until I see your face
I can see it all
You're so far away
I can't take this anymore
I can't live until I see your face
[Chorus]
Somethings gone away
You've taken this from me
Until I see your face
I'm slipping away

hmmm I can see it from both your viewpoints though I imagine it with disturbed_child's rendition a little more.

He talks about the power of his music, how his fans have truly been searching for the answers that are in their lost lives (not that all Cold fans are lost -- but I am one who is at times :) )

He says how he takes some of the pains with his fans and he wonders how they are doing. One of the big reason's why I'm so into Cold is how they are so open with topics that they are heavily involved in such as music and the actual stage and fans.

Sometimes when singers speak they seem world's a part, and though at many times I can relate with feelings, I feel that they are so distant and on some elevated pedestal.

But with Cold it seems like they are so close. That they are still wading in this muck of life that still pulls against us. That they are just like us. That maybe they have found that inner peace but they're still strong enough to be down here with us. Maybe heaven isn't so far away.

This is my favorite song on the album... It reminds me of last summer because we would sit in my friend's basement, and this album is one we would listen to a whole lot. Last summer was the best time of my my life. This album, especially this song, holds immense nostalgic value to me, I love it.
