To me, this song seems to be about trying to convince someone to fight for their relationship. Convincing someone that if you don't fight for anything, you'll be left with nothing.
Couldn't say it better. Just got out of a 3 yr. relationship and listen to this dang song along w/ "broken" by seether all the time. AHHH self torment is beautiful.
This song is great, is about you and the person you love fighting for what you have, trying to make it better, loving each other in a good way and wondering what are you doing wrong and how you can fix it. I will thank my boyfriend forever for making me hear it, it has gave me strenght, courage and hope in our relationship.
This song is one of my favorite off of the new cd. 4 months after breaking up with my girlfriend of 3 years I heard this song and knew right away that it embodied everything that I felt. Especially "Just stay until we know we tried one more time". I told her that I wanted her to listen to this song and now we're giving it one more try.
Perhaps it's also about long distance relationships.. Hence the "Thousand Mile Wish"?
i think the title means its a long shot to get what he wants really bad. maybe she doesnt wanna stay anymore because theyve been fighting and he cant stand to let her go because he loves her with all his heart and he wants one more chance but he also knows that it probably wont happen how he wants it to.

This is probably one of the greatest songs ever written, Even before i knew what it meant It still held alot of signifigance for me. I pretty much agree with everyone here, this is one of those songs that was really well thought out and hard to figure out, but once you do your like "man, thats so easy i should'ave known that" that makes the song even better
good interpretations. this is personally my favorite finger eleven song from their 3 f11 albums. pure perfection. scott said it was the hardest song he's ever written lyrics for...he slaved over them. well it comes out perfect. these lyrics are truly perfect. some of my favorite ever written.
