I want to sleep if you are awake
Still making believe that you aren't at all crazy

And if you don't believe I think you should
You make me so proud!
Still you love to think you have always been this way but you're all wrong.

And you only sleep when you've lost cause
Well I still believe that the cause was always me.

And if you don't believe I think you should
You make so proud!
Still you love to think you have always been this way

Well I'd love to think you will someday feel the same
And you love to think it will always, always
If you still believe it will always be this way, well you're all wrong.
Yes you are, insane

General Commenti reeally love this song. i think it's just about loving someone who thinks it's over. but you still don't believe it. it's like having so much hope when the person you love just believes it's over. it's just about hope..

General Commenti think its about a troubled relationship. hes realizing that hes not at fault for the trouble she is. hes accepting this but is not telling her because part of him likes how she is "controlling" he knows she thinks shes perfect and deep down in his heart he hates her.

General Commenti seem to remember older guys refering to their wives as a "ball and chain" or "battle-axe", though i think these pet names are used when the guys are poking fun at their spouses. i think the song is basically about getting past a fight with some one (chino's wife in this case) and being the first to forgive or forget. i think the narrator is playing the part of the peacemaker in the relationship by continuing to remind the significant other to "still believe" that things will eventually get better. somewhere in there though, there seems to be an underlying hint or vibe that the "fighting" or 'loss of faith in the relationship' happens quite often.

General CommentThis has become my favorite Deftones song! I love it. Anyway this is what I STRONGLY feel the song is about....

Two people being in a love/hate relationship. I feel that it's about somebody trying to force something on someone, or change them. Maybe it's a style of clothing or the type or music. Maybe it's something deeper like forcing a religion on someone. That's where I think the lyric "And if you don't believe, I think you should," comes from. I kinda feel that it's about forcing someone to do something that is right, and they know it's right, but they don't want to do it. Due to the person trying to force them to do they right think, the other lover becomes bitter, and the relationship slowly deteriarates.

    That's my two cents.

General CommentWell call my view outraegous but i always thought it was about a relationship, one partner has an illness (mentally). And he's trying to cure her. But it's quite tideous and she's not very cooperative.

General CommentFavorite track from their self titled, even the guitar is awesome! Fighting relationship where one person thinks is always right but does not admit it. So it slowly fades away "Always" "If you still believe it wil always be this way... well you're all wrong"

    "Yes your are...insane"

General CommentI think it's about someone who thinks she got to the top all by herself, but chino thinks he helped and pushed her the right way. So that he was responsible for her succes.
