What's happened to you?
It's obvious you've changed
Something deep inside you
Is probably to blame
Must be lonely up there
With your head up in the clouds
Even though you got there
What does your conscience tell you now?

It's never the same on the way down
How does it feel when your feet
Finally hit the ground?
When all of your bridges aren't around
And the sandcastles you built are falling down

You had us all
Sitting right there in your hand
But you had to fall
Because that's how this life is
Got your fingers burned
By burning candles at both ends
Now the table's turned
And now your demons are you friends

It's never the same on the way down
How does it feel when your feet
Finally hit the ground?
When all of your bridges aren't around
And the sandcastles you built are falling down

So now I question what you're gonna do
Now that everything's caught up with you
You believe the shit you say is true
But everybody's on to you
Life remembers everything you do
Your karma has caught up with you

It's never the same on the way down
How does it feel when your feet
Finally hit the ground?
When all of your bridges aren't around
And the sandcastles you built are falling down

Sounds like friends I've had before ... we think we know them then they get up and go change, usually not for the better. The Chorus to me sounds like when they finally realize what they've done, and come back to you, after they've damaged you and want you to forgive them for their atonements.

"So now I ? what your gonna do" This block to me sounds like their up to their old ways again, when they were damaging you, but this time you've caught on to their games; karma remembers and so does life definately.

Saroknight said it well... I just want to say I like the intro. It sets the mood for the song. I think this song sends the message, don't neglect the people who care about you.. What goes up must come down.. Don't forget the people who were close to you in the beginning. They won't put up with your crap forever.

i am surprised this song doesn't have too many comments- i think its one of my favorites on this CD. My favorite line: "life remembers everything you do." It is so true. If you do good things in this life, you will be rewarded.

So much like Linkin Park's "Hit the Floor". It's about karma bringing down someone who stepped on people all the way to the top.

I agree, this is probably my favourite song off 14SOG. I dunno why, it's just something about the chorus that attracts me. Either way, the song is about karma, how once you abandon the ones close to you for a shot at something bigger, it ends up coming back to haunt you.

This sounds to me like a song about addiction recovery, or a warning to a friend who is an addict, about life after addiction, and the effects addiction has on your family, friends, situation, and life in general.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
