I'm a terrible person
I'm a terrible person
I'm a terrible person
Cause I've made up my mind
I'm a terrible person
Cause I've let her on
And I'm the only one who knows what I've done to her
Oh yeah I'm much smarter now,
I won't tell her friends before her
Oh I'm afraid
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
But I'm a horrible person, I read her diary
I'm not to be trusted
I told all of her secrets
To all the guys in town
They all laugh, and slap me five
Oh yeah
Luckily she doesn't have dirt on me 'cause I'm the cleanest guy
Oh I'm so afraid
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
Well I don't think I'll ever be sorry
No I'm not sorry for a thing I've done
And I don't think I'll ever wake up lonely
Cause having her around wasn't all that special
Well I don't think I'll ever be sorry
No I'm not sorry for a thing I've done
And I don't think I'll ever wake up lonely
Cause having her around wasn't all that special
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday
It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday

I can't believe no one has commented on this song. I have a lot of guy friends. I mean...it's such an honest song. I can see where a lot of guys can relate. I love Robert's voice when he says "Cause I've made up my mind" verrrrrry sexy ;) Ok...I'm angry now. These two girls who I was talking to about Rooney at least 6 months ago said they've been into them for a couple years. I know that's a pile of bull cause they were clueless when I mentioned them. I hate it when people do that! They get the CD and wear the shirts but it's like they're only aware of their released material. Rooney had some amazing unreleased material. They performed a new song at the HOB. Wonderful writing and great melody. The guys need to keep up the good work.

I think this song is about going out with some girl he didnt actually like, and then dumping her, and feeling fine. HE says hes a terrible person, but he doesnt feel badly, and isnt worried, except of her seeking revenge, although she has nothing on him. Its pretty self explanatory

i love this.. it kind of happened to my best friend. it's about a guy who completely led this girl on to belive that he loved her but he finally admitted he didn't. all of his + her friends knew and she was the last to know. but he doesn't even feel badly now, he's just really scared of her.. yeah, thats about it. i love rooney

I'm not that big of a Rooney fan, but recently I've been listening to their stuff more and more. I was on their official side, randomly browsing their lyrics, when I saw the lyrics to this song. Before hearing the thing, it made me teary-eyed. As much as this song may sound up-beat, it has the total opposite effect on me.

I think the lines that got to me are:

"I'm a terrible person Cause I've made up my mind I'm a terrible person Cause I've led her on And I'm the only one who knows what I've done to her I'm much smarter now I won't tell her friends before her It's gonna be a bad day come Sunday"

The reason why it's so impacting is kind of person, but let's just say there is such a coincedential and ironic meaning behind it all. =\

But yeah, I think you all have it right as far as what the meaning to this song can be.

I think its a pretty obvious meaning. what i like about it most is "its gonna be a bad day come sunday", which i think means when he goes to church sunday and has to confess his "sins"

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
