sad. i like how it advances the plot so concisely. and its so bluntly stated that its really jarring

I was really disappointed to find out the tune-ups and voicemails weren't in the movie, too! When I first saw RENT on Broadway, the line that jumped out at me was:
His girlfriend April Left a note saying "We've got AIDS" Before slitting her wrists in the bathroom
For some reason it hit me really hard at the time. Even to this day, it remains the most memorable line from RENT.
Though I have to admit, I was a bit confused about the plot at first. It wasn't until I saw the movie that I filled in a couple remaining blanks. The musical is so fast-paced and energetic I didn't even have time to soak in the plot, haha. But watching it a second time reminded me of just how awesome it is. I love it.
