Natural Life Lyrics
All of my time
I don't wanna come back around tonight
And all that I need
Is serenity
I don't wanna feel your new disease
You're born, you die
The natural life
You're wrong, you're right
The natural life
You're born, you die
The natural life's a lie
Swallow your pride
I don't wanna come back around tonight
And all that I need
Is serenity
I don't wanna feel your new disease
You're born, you die
The natural life
You're wrong, you're right
The natural life
You're born, you die
The natural life's a lie
You're right
I can never lie
Let me go
Try to find a home
I can't wait
Try to stay awake
Dead inside
Bothered by the lie
You're right
You're born, you die
The natural life
You're wrong, you're right
The natural life
You're born, you die
The natural life's a lie
A lie...

I find this to be one of my favorite Breaking Benjamin songs. I think that this song says alot about how people interpet what their lives are supposed to be. Look at how society can judge someone who doesn't fit into the mold, or follow along the same old lines. Where would this band be if they followed by those rules? To me this song is all about being against conformity, atleast thats my interpetation.

this song is about life itself...plain and simple...we're born we die....he states he wants serenity....he wants to be calm, about his entire life to be happy.....but he's stating the actualy properties of life...but he hates it with a passion...lol thats why he states its a lie

"I don't wanna feel your new disease"
Is he saying that he doesn't want to get tangled up further with her becuase life is pointless and he just wants some peace?
This song is great, but it is hard to understand beyond the basic theme of simplified life.

The song "Natural Life", I think means that basic idea of life is a lie. Yes it is true that we are born, live and then eventually will die as nature does intend for everything that is created. But for mankind, the idea of natural/normal life is something is way to basic to fit mankinds true potential. We will indeed face trials and tribulations in life, "I dont wanna feel your new disease", the ups and downs, but those parts of life are not what should be allowed to define who or what a person is. Mankind is to unique to put on the specturm of just having a "Natural Life" In each individual there will be so many different characteristics, that the idea of a natural life seems to simply be non other then choosing a life of conformity, thus the line "the natural life is a lie" Honestly there are many things that can be speculated about this song, in saying that that only defines how great of a song it really is , and how creative BB is. Their material is intended to have endless meanings that is why they are successfull, and have many different types of audiences that enjoy them.

Natural life
In my opinion this song is showing that life is a lie (refer to lyrics) and that there is something more to life and death, such as what can come after death, God. This is a very important aspect to understand, because if life is a lie what is the truth, again, its god, the creator and the savior waiting for us up in heaven. God is the truth and could be the inspiration Benjamin had for this song.

This story is about finally acknowledging that there is more to life than living and dying. One can make a difference in the world and not follow others' leads.

This song shows how simplistic life actually is. That's my thinking to. Great song. Everyone should hear it!

I agree that this song is saying how there is really nothing more to life than the beginning and end of it, and on a related note, saying how once our lives our over they don't really mean anything.

I feel this song means that there is actually more to life than simple birth and death, as reflected in the words "the natural life's a lie," and "bothered by the lie."

Allow me to elaborate. In the song, the world is said to work like so, "The natural life: you're born, you die," however, he realizes that there is much more to it; that is, emotion. In fact, realizing this and being "bothered by the lie" itself is a sign of this.
