All sorts of ideas
We swarm and we seek
Destined to destroy
Destined to joy

Wish to neglect
Wish to defeat
Juvenile with hall steps
Juvenile with threat

I am with power
I am within
I am with flesh
I am your sin

Naked with balance
Naked in deep
Naked for the first
Naked as we keep

Tall and loud
A shelter for the bleak

I will be your sleep
Blow me throught your canyon

Let me see your apprehension
Smooth and soft
Slick and shallow
Vulnerable reaction
A starlight to receive

I am with power
I am within
I am with flesh
I am your sin

Naked with balance
Naked in deep
Naked for the first
Naked as we keep

Tall and loud
A shelter for the bleak

A short monstrous affair
A pallid gray to hear

Storming through the ego ways
Like something sudden seen
A solvent desolation
A measure stands (just) as mean

Short road epidemic
A child is on the run
As for this I challenge you
On my journey to the sun

I've danced with snakes
I've danced with death
I've seen the short ones die
A manic kill, an epic thrill
I've seen the young ones fly

As all is said, we cross the storm
And watch ourselves in pray
For this no longer a mutant that shivers
This is here to stay

My InterpretationIn my opinion, 666 International, by Dødheimsgard, is a concept album that takes place in a genetics laboratory. The subject voluntarily undergoes DNA modification, or the bringing out of selected buried DNA, so that they can transcend normal limits, physically, mentally and spiritually, as a superhuman.

The journey starts as the subject is thirsty for knowledge and secrets, and he finishes up in this track as an enlightened being of extraordinary power, becoming ever-more immune to the forced idea of an external overbearing and almighty 'God'. The text suggests, if one sifts through the many other odd ideas, that the subject is travelling through their whole body, even on a cellular and spiritual level, to match up the dots and become whole, while the ego is completely dissolved. The beeping synth layers, mechanical, almost hospital-like atmosphere and swirling throughout the majority of the track seem to support this idea musically. The widespread replication of this whole experiment is then encouraged.

I could be wrong, but with the industrial sound, the majority of the lyrics and artwork and the 2007 sequel's theme in mind, it is all a possibility. Of course, between the main 'story', there are a couple of tracks which seem to be about psychedelic experiences, namely 'Regno Potiri' and 'Final Conquest', but they act as a break in-between, along with the piano pieces.

I hope I have provided a worthwhile perspective on one of the most confusing and abstract tracks, on one of the most confusing and abstract metal albums out there. Thanks for reading.
