I'm gonna tell you what I really think I like about Monday
Cause they fell like Saturdays
When you don't have to go to work, every day is a holiday
I wake up when I want to, I do anything I wanna do
Can't wait for Tuesday
I really don't like Fridays I can't do what I wanna do
Sold out at the movies, can't eat at the restaurant
Everybody wants to party, but the bars full of cigarette smoke
I think Ill stay home, I think Ill wait for Monday

I live a five day weekend, I gotta year long holiday
Thanks god its Monday
The only place I gotta be is the show or on the first tee
Thank god its Monday
Never mind aggravation, just give me modulation gimmie another key

Ill tell you why I like Tuesdays, cause they're kinda like Christmas
Come to think about Wednesdays, are a little like Hanakah
Thursdays thanksgiving, I'm talking about good living
I think Ill give thanx
Thank god its Monday

this song is so great, it's one of the brilliant NOFX's many novelty songs, but it's just great because it's fun while ROCKING out and just being cool. Love the second verse, it's so fun to sing along to

The reason why Mike likes Mondays is because he doesn't have to work or nothin just sings and has fun. Since every day is a holiday to him, he likes Mondays the most because theres less people everywhere.

Yeah, when you are in a band and making money off of shows you never have to go to work to make money like everyone else. Every day to him is a holiday because he doesn't work. Weekends are filled with the people who are off of work and that is when he has to "work" by doing shows. He is just showing off in a way. Like in "Stranger than FIshing" when he talks about how much he sucks and says how some people just have all the luck. Basically, he is living the life while we suck it up.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
