No Hope = No Fear Lyrics
Whoever told ya you can't seek out that dream
Whoever told ya you can never be free
Whoever told you that is your enemy you see...
Cause it's my life, you see, not your life
My life is mine, my right is mine
Sometimes you have to lose your mind...
The time is now, the time is right
Follow my heart, I'll get through
If you're not now, you never were
Don't need to act like nobody else
Sometimes it feels as if the road is blocked
I'll find a way, I'll move those rocks
Freedom!

wow, nobody's commented on this song? ridiculous! this has always been one of my favorite soulfly songs, it's pretty uplifting, but at the same time it's kind of depressing. to have no fear you have to have no hope. there are som really great lines in this song: "sometimes you have to lose your mind" "follow my heart, i'll get through" "i'll find a way, i'll move those rocks"

Lol, just pick out the punchlines from those great lines why don'cha. But yeah this song is a good song, and it is an uplifting song, and just an uplifting song, he's not saying that to have no fear you have to have no hope, he's telling the listener not to let things come down to hope alone, to break through your own barriers and to be fearless in doing so.

uplifting? I always thought this song was dominated by anger at ppl who get in your way.

This is my all time fav Soulfly song, to me it means to be yourself no matter what anyone tells you, plain and simple. Not a new idea, but still ignored by many. Overall, this song has some serious vibes, Roy is awesome on drums, the trippy jam at the end just adds value. It's a mission statement for Max if you ask me, if you know his material, you know he's as true as they get.

Invective against living timidly in hopes of getting a rewarding afterlife for not screwing up.
"I won't wait for the next life, The time is now... If you're not now, you never were"
Whether it's heaven, or reincarnation, or whatever else:
“When the centre of gravity of life is placed, not in life itself, but in “the beyond”—in nothingness—then one has taken away its centre of gravity altogether.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche, The Antichrist
No hope of heaven, no fear of living life to the fullest.
