this song always reminds me of when my grampop died cuz all day i had it stuck it my head.
IMO, Phil sings it so much better that Cyndi did! But that's beside the point. This is my all-time favorite song! It makes me think of my best friend--my ex-worst enemy. Because when I gave her a chance, I was privileged enough to see her "true colors"! :)
Just FYI, if anyone wants the corrected lyrics (some of the ones here are wrong) go to the Cyndi Lauper version of the song. The lyrics there are right. :) ~Kami*
I have the vocal score of this song arranged byMac Huff for choral, it's not that much different, but i personally like Cindy's version better, because her voice is so strong and powerful, it really moved me
when the hits are drying up bring ou yet another cover version. Cyndi Lauper does it more sincerely and with true feeling.
It's like trying to replace Steve Perry, it just doesn't work. You can't redo magic Phil. Your voice is like quaaludes, it's tranquil to me but please leave the treasures alone.
