And all the drugs in the world
Can't save us from ourselves
Victims with the saddest hearts
Passing by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

With grace we will suffer
With grace we shall recover
There by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

Lay down all your guns
Give them up and then move on
It doesn't mean that you are dead
Passing by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

With grace we will suffer
With grace we shall recover
There by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

With grace we will suffer
With grace we shall recover
There by the grace of God
There by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

And all the drugs in the world

With grace we will suffer
With grace we shall recover
There by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

With grace we will suffer
With grace we shall recover
There by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

And all the drugs in the world
Can't save us from ourselves
Victims with the saddest hearts
Passing by the grace of God
There by the grace of God

General Comment"all the drugs in the world can't save us from ourselves"- reminds me of pyschiatric drugs. its how you can numb yourself with pills but it still does not save you from the problem- your mind.

General CommentRecreational drugs sprung to my mind (willful desire to numb yourself), though I agree with ladyboygrrl's sentiment.
It seems like an optimistic song. 'There by the Grace of God' suggests divinity, fate - it may be crap at the moment, but we've been put here for a purpose and we will recover.
Nice song, not sure I agree with the message.

General Comment"There by the grace of God" isn't an optimistic phrase, unfortunately. It's a shortened form of "There but by the grace of God go I" which basically means that your life could go to hell at any given time. It's traditionally said in reference to the homeless, etc. In the context of the song, I'm thinking that "God" is the drugs (recreational or psychiatric) and if the drugs stop working, or if they're not available, everything goes to shit.
