It's been a long time coming
Facing demons spent a long time runnin'
Handle my shit cause we all got something
Fuck it nigga I got all mine coming
Everybody right behind me, nigga
Member days they would try me nigga
Nowadays you can't find me, without the gang posted right beside me nigga
I can't forget 'em that's the truth
But not everybody gonna make it through,
Hate that I had to learn that shit hard way, but for me that's really nothing new, I gotta move
I had to lose, I lost my sanity, I lost my sense of direction, and most of everything knew
2020 put my ass in a corner, and cut me down, but nigga I grew
Grew out the hardest struggle
Fuck a bag, had to get in the largest duffel
Cause the work had to up and double
But the bigger you get the more often you see the trouble
Work all day got the hardest hustle, they can't take that from me my success won't be fuckin muffled
With the moments I had a couple, contemplating everyday in this bubble
Heartbreak, I shouldn't even start it, but I had my fair share of that
Everybody in my past, gon' stay in my past, and there ain't nothin wrong wit that
How the hell could you be so cool, now the very thought of you is wack
How you acting gotta be the pack, but birds gon' fly so I ain't even mad
Ion need nobody cuttin' slack
That's not how I made it where I'm at
I'd rather you go tell me my shit trash
Than lie to me, who benefit from that
Tell me who gon' benefit from that?
Nobody will & we still gon' be trapped
I ain't stayin' in this town forever
But trust me I'm gon' put us on the map
They gon' know where future legends roam
All our names is gon' be in they domes
Back to how I came into this shit
Brooklyn nigga Jersey is my home
Niggas hating on me be some clones
But I can't even blame 'em cause I'm dope
Came into this shit I had some hope
Now we goin up just like a slope
Talkin to the broskis from the home
How we growin' up but you ain't grown
Selfish nigga do it for ya own
I ain't make it if the team ain't on
Betray the clan and shit can't be the same
Where the fuck those morals that you claimed
Where the fuck them W's you gained
They all fell down put to shame
Fuck the shit they sayin bitch we up
Shit could be way worse we living tuff
Last nigga tried to call my bluff
Been quiet ever since I showed 'em up
Some don't even take me serious in my own town, but I ain't ever giving up
Everything a process, so you won't be gettin' nowhere if you leanin' on luck
Spending time on my intro like Drizzy, shit ain't supposed to be catchy
Built different so I know they won't catch me
Keep it real, fuck keeping it classy
Rest in peace to the niggas that's steady chattin', promise that you won't out last me
Fuck what you saw, fuck what you heard, fuck what you think, that was the last me
This is the new me, set on turnin' my whole life to a movie
Shed the skin like serpent, stuntin' on all the niggas who gon claim they out grew me
Each and every one that cut me out loosely
Lied on my name and made niggas remove me
Lied on my niggas for fun, got 'em losing
Got 'em contemplating, made shit confusing
Y'all gon' see all of the points that I'm proving
We was workin' while yo bitchass was snoozing
Always on go when you never was moving
Struggled through shit that you thought were amusing
Everything gotta come full circle
Beating my demons 'til they turn purple
Jumpin' over obstacles like hurdles
This shit deeper than rap it's internal

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
