what's lost inside you
you're burning down the bridges
you've crossed
and you're still around
so nothing's certain
just let go
we deserve it
if i could chose to start it over
i'd exercise more discretion
the lies are abound
and nothing's certain
do you have good intentions?
come on
let go of those affectations
you don't fool anyone
come on
let go
if you want to take on
the years won't say what happened to you
what gains have you earned
what friends have you trampled over
when you're around
nothing's certain
just let go
we deserve it
come on and let go,
come on and let go

its my favorate song ever.=o)

this song rocks...

this is about letting go, as the title insists :P i dont fuckin care what this song is about because it's awesome!

"Affectations" are false personalities.
There songs rock and they actually have meaning. What an amazing band.

It's about pretending to be some one else to fool people and get what you want. The author is the only person who see through this person's false personality and all the 'help' and intentional bad advice they're offering everyone else.

This was the first song I've ever listened to by Midtown, although it's not my favorite. I prefer "Perfect" or "Like a Movie" . It's a great song, none-the-less :)

this is definitely one of midtown's best, i'm surprised not many people commented. this song definitely has a lot of meaning, and i really think it's about someone who is trying to be someone theyre not.

all I have to say is Good Song great meaning...

this song is about someone who's putting on a facade. Maybe trying to make their life make sense.

The song is great, i think its about how they are not showing their true selves, to the people they meet
