Celestial Voices Lyrics

Ok, I realize this song has no lyrics, but it's just such a beautiful song I felt it had to be added to the database. Plus it's one of my favorites.

yes this might be my second favorite pink floyd song (besides brain damage/eclipse). the music is great and one of the most complex chord structure i've seen. one progression was 14 chords i think. this live at pompei must have been one of the best performances i ahve ever seen.

All I know is that I have the Man and the Journy Version, and it is really good

This is actually a section taken from A Saucerful Of Secrets. There are four sections in the song: a. Something Else b. Syncopated Pandemonium c. Storm Signal d. Celestial Voices
Listen to the song in it's entirety and it's even better!

It's supposed to reflect the mourning of the dead after a battle. Personally I prefer the Live at Pompeii Version.

Whats the Man and the Journey version?

The man and the journey version is called "The End of The Beginning" and Its one of the, if not the only time Rick Wright plays it with and actual pipe organ from a church. The organ was street from where they were playing the show. It is preceded by an unreleased song called "Behold The Temple Of Light" which fits in amazingly with this song.

*The organ was across the street. sorry for the error.

There's not really that much info about it.. "The Man and the Journey" is basically just a set list from some of their early concerts.
