I need, I feel a love
You love to love the fear
I never wanna be alone
I've forgotten to

The road keeps moving clouds
The clouds become unreal
I guess I'll always be at home

Do you want me to try?
Directing your night

An exit lights the sky
The sky becomes complete
Traveling hearts divide the throne
I've forgotten to

Friction, lines, bumps
The Highway Song complete
The signs are all turning right

Do you want me to try?
Directing your night
Want me to try?
Directing your light

The purest forms of life
Our days are never coming back
The cannons of our time
Our days are never coming back

The purest forms of life
Our days are never coming back
The cannons of our time, our
Days are never ever coming back

Our days are never coming back
Our days are never coming back
Our days are never coming back

Why do you have to show off like that? Anyone who actually seeks out this site because they like the music and feels they want to leave a post does not have to "know the most about SOAD."

    My Interpretation

This seems like something I can relate to. Moving few times in the past few years has completely ruined my sense of attachment to anything. I feel like I have no "home" and in this bleakness, everywhere is equally "home".

These are the thoughts you may be having while touring on the bus. You often have nothing to do but watching the clouds on the run. After a while they reflect the ephemeral nature of your life. Nothing permanent to stick to. Everything is just temporary.

Once you enter this path in life, it seems impossible to get back to stationary life and pure form of attachment, because something is going to be missing forever.

First off, someone was talking about how these songs were made well before the album was created and yes, most of these songs were ones that were made and leaked onto the internet, so i think hence the name ''Steal this Album''. Anyways from what i see it sounds like a song about life, and life coming to an end, ''An exit lights the sky, the sky becomes complete'' That is one of the lines that leads me to come to this conclusion. But anyways, songs can be interpreted in different ways by different people, don't go ape shit because someone doesn't agree with you. System is the greatest band in the world by the way.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
