Pink Flower Lyrics
real thing
there'd be no put down
walk around as if you
Know it's true if you knew I'd be cut down
I hold on to my chair
up here the air is not so certain
I am waiting for the sun to rise
my oh my it looks so searing
ragged laughing I would flowers if I could
I'm so green
I shake in my shoes never hoped
I'd die before
I'm old but poor and old I'd wish on no one
Pray pink flower
earthly life hey dear friends lets take a ride
in the countryside .....
pale pink flower

it sucks that only a few people have commented on the daisy chainsaw songs, cause the were awesome. I love this song and the music vid on you tube. im not very sure what this songs about, shes comparing her self to a flower or something. the flower is elegant, pure, and naive. it is perpetually being cut down. in the end she is vulnerable and defenseless. But i dunno what i think.

i heart daisy chainsaw R.I.P.

The 'pink flower' represents the singer - defiant, bold and beautiful on the surface but quite vulnerable(easily 'cut down'). The 'real thing' is a person who is truly strong and confident with no inhibitions or pretences. There is self-pity in the words 'Poor pink flower'. I think she is also hopeful in that she is 'waiting for the sun to rise', there is hope that things will get better - however, 'My oh my, it looks searing' also implies fear and that the sun is also dangerous. 'I would flower if I could' implies a lack of self-belief and weakness. In the second half, she is afraid of the future and loneliness ('Lovely people go on by my dreams). However, it would seem she remains hopeful and resilient as the words 'Please, please, I've not yet grown tired of this earthly life' show she has not given up.
