Another World
Another Time
In The Age Of Wonder
Another World
Another Time
This Land Was Green & Good
Until The Crystal Cracked
Once More
They Would Replenish Themselves
Cheat Death Again
The Power Of Their Source
The Crystal
The Crystal
The Crystal
The Power Of Their Source
The Crystal
Oh my god it's the best(10x's)
Uh I want you to trip like me I want you to have fun
Me and you
Oh my god it's the best
Uh huh I want you to trip like I do
Uh huh
Oh my god
Oh my god it's the best (2x's)
I want you to trip like I do
Oh my god
I want you to trip like I do(3x's)

i think this song is incredibly sick, here's my interpretation of it line by line where necessary Another World Another Time [metaphor for changing conciousness] In The Age Of Wonder [could be referring to the 70s, or a relative time frame such as a users first time incurred by curiousity] Another World Another Time This Land Was Green & Good Until The Crystal Cracked [Everything was great until the crystal cracked, indicating that the meth was spent, and could no longer be smoked] Once More They Would Replenish Themselves [stock back up on drugs] Cheat Death Again [avoid comedown] The Power Of Their Source The Crystal .. Just my interp. basically, it's about meth binges.

DGorman has nailed it to a tea. This is the real story behind this track. Nothing more, nothing less. Although the over-analyzing going on here is quite entertaining.

I'm thinking some of the key lyrics are acutally:

Oh my god, it's the best I want you to trip like me, I want you to have fun I want you to trip like I do

someone has lost the shine they once had and they're attempting to recreate it via the experience of a virgin. it could be they just like to share though ;-) as far as the land being green and good back in the day, nothing can stay a virgin if it desires experience....and yeah, yeah nothing's really changed in people but their toys

I'm sorry but this song is simply all about drugs.

"In the age of wonder" "this land was green and good"...sounds to me like they're talking about either before they started using, or their first experiences with the stuff.

Lameasses. lol!! But this song is THE BEST.

According to this fan site (gotmeth.net), the voice in the background is a girl who Scott had met at a club who called him up a few days later, while she was tripping, and left that message on the answering machine.

Your over interpretting the intro lyrics. Its just extracts from 'The Dark Crystal'. It's not deep, or about their own experiences. At All. The phone sounding bits are apparently based on an answer phone message from an ex girlfriend of one of the guys.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.

Trouble Breathing
Alkaline Trio
While the obvious connections with suicide or alcoholism could be drawn easily, more subtly this song could be about someone who views the world through a negative lens constantly and how as much as the writer tries to show the beauty in the world, this person refuses to see it. It's one or another between the rope and the bottle. There is no good option for this person. They can't see it. Skiba sings it in a kind of exasperated way like He's tired of hearing this negative view constantly and just allowing that person to continue feeling the way they feel knowing he can't do anything about it. You can hear it when he says maybe you're a vampire.
