Ravenous waves attack,
drawn by the scent of life
Fever for our blood

Instinct rules this mass, ruthless living sea devouring

Countless vermin gnashing at my face
Tear meat from my skull
Swarming, rabid, features are erased
Unrecognizable
Body covered, rat filled innards
Shred internal organs
Heart and lungs consumed from inside but my pain doesn't end
I have not died

[Chorus:]
Devour, cesspool of vermin
Devour, bloodthirsty rabid
Devoured by vermin

Resistance now gives way,
the rodents freely feed
Tearing at my skin
Muscles are exposed, shining red with blood
Meat that they seek

Crawling rodents gorging on me
Repulsive starving droves
Shredding, stripping, consuming all I was
Tissue pulled from bones
Dying slowly, feeling every fang
Shock has yet to come
Scavengers tear out my eyes
My pain won't end, I have not died

[Chorus]
Devour, cesspool of vermin
Devour, bloodthirsty rabid
Devoured by vermin

Ruthless gnawing vermin, feed
Cleaning off my bones while I breathe
Stenching greasy rodents, swarm
My body is losing its form

[Chorus]
Devour, cesspool of vermin
Devour, bloodthirsty rabid
Devoured by vermin

i think what you said is dumb. all the songs are the same. ive been reading a lot, and they're just crazy bitches that supposedely kill and eat people, and tear up their organs and shit, and blah blah blah. gatta like the hatred that goes along with it tough, right...?

Inept, you are wrong. Their lyrics have nothing to do with anything real, they have no hidden meaning. They just like to write lyrics about cool things, like ruthlessly slaughtering everything in sight. Cannibal Corpse has the best lyrics EVER.

yeah guiffporn i can understand why you would hate it if all you're used to hearing is rap or whatever bullshit MTV is selling these days. try listening to real music sometime and maybe you'll be a little less ignorant. oh and if your friend is trying to get you into real music and you couldn't handle it then you're the one that deserves to be kicked in the penis. oh wait i forgot you don't even have one.

Are you following me? you seem to be responding to a lot of my posts, I think you are a bit keen on me, I'm flattered. It seems funny to me that someone with a metallica (the worst bunch of sell outs in the world) song title for a name is preaching to me about real music. I listen to real music, not that you would know what that is, if you are listening to this stupid horse shit. Do the world a favour, stop thinking about my penis and go listen to Killswitch Engage, Slayer, Death, God Forbid, Dismember or anything that isn't Cannibal Corspe, because they are shit. After you have listened to those bands feel free to kiss my ass.

Just so you know, dumbass, Master of Puppets came out before Metallica sold out. And what the fuck are you talking about, "I think you are a bit keen on me. I'm flattered." What are you, some sort of queer? Since someone is responding to your dumb posts you assume they want you? You are one desperate loser. And you have the word "porn" in your username, so that confirms that idea.

Oh and learn to spell corpse correctly dumb fuck

I have another fan. I'm well aware of when master of puppets was released, it just seemed stupid to me that the guy had decided that just because I hate Cannibal Corpse, I listen to MTV.

What other sort of queer is there, you stupid piece of shit?

"And what the fuck are you talking about, "I think you are a bit keen on me. I'm flattered." nuclear assault, look up the word "joke" in the dictionary.

okay first of all, like nuclear assault said, Master of Puppets came out way before they sold out. yes i am aware that they are sellouts now (everyone knows by now.) and Metallica is not the only band i listen to. I do know other bands, such as Iron Maiden, Sepultura, Exodus, Testament, At the Gates, Sodom, Kreator, Pestilence, Bathory, Mayhem, and Razor. Not to mention every single band that you listed. So I do know real music. and believe me i have a lot better things to do than to think about the penis you don't have.

and i reply to your comments because everywhere i go one of your ignorant remarks is waiting there just asking to be bagged on, so i'm not a fag (sorry to disappoint you)

oh and you responded to my posts on those Sex Pistols songs, so now whose following who?

"After you have listened to those bands feel free to kiss my ass. " yeah right don't think so much of yourself you dickhead.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

American Town

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
