So...perhaps this isn't the best interpretation of the lyrics, and I apologize in advance, but this song makes me wanna f like crazy.

that makes so much sense to me, gren. because i don't have a way with words, i can only describe it like the last scene in Fight Club, where the real Tyler and Marla are standing in the building, holding hands, and looking out the window to see 10 buildings blow up which means the world is about to go crazy. it's romantic, in that odd, beautiful sort of way

I listened to this song on Mushrooms once and It had a whole new meaning, kind of like what Gren described, like everything was falling to shit and it was just me and a loved one, in each others arms, holding on because there was nothing we could do about it we might as well be with each other and hold on to the moment, and not interupt with useless words. And Radiohead is an Anarchist band btw.

Actually, Im stoned now, and I think that the loved one part is a satire, where he is all sarcastic about the fact that he is bringing a love one to watch the horrificness of the world.

Basically outlines what is happening in the United States.

To me this is about the slow collapse of the world, while one guy and someone he loves just sit back and watch. It really reminds me of apocalypse now / heart of darkness -- and was pretty much all I listened to when we studied this in english this past year.

I think that this song is about damagedyouth or some other asshole just like him who needs drugs to cope with the reality of the world. Someday these people could be running the country. Hell, one of them is running the country now. When these assholes take over this apocalypse will happen and Radiohead will be all we have to hang on to.
