One of the Few Lyrics
To land on your feet.
What do you do to make ends meet?
(Teach)
Make 'em sad
Make 'em add two and two
Make 'em you
Make 'em do what you want them to
Make 'em cry
Make 'em lay down and die

Haunting Song. A little short though, but nevertheless covered by British band Anathema.

beautiful song... anyone in here knows what's it about?..

The Final Cut is about the Schoolmaster from The Wall. Turns out, he's a retired vet who's losing his mind a bit, but at any rate, this is the explaination of who he is and more importanly, what he's doing, and why he's doing it.

It makes sense, but where did you hear/read that?

You can hear the guy say teach, after 'what do you do to make ends meet." And also the music is similar in chord structure to The Wall, and it all just sort of adds up.

thanks inpraiseofolly i can't believe i have never clocked the 'teach' in the background. But look at the not know john page I'm about to diss you ;-)

This songs amazing. I love the clock in the background. And the line "make them me, make them you" and "make them lie down and die". Hypnotic..

I always thought that clock was a metronome...makes more sense if its a clock...

amazing minimal track, i really love this song. i think it's about the identity disorder in personality to makes person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities,
" When you're one of the few to land on your feet what do you do to make ends meet? "
it is introduced himself here and whispering say "teach" To tell a secret for the Treatment.
" make 'em me, make 'em you, make 'em do what you want them to make 'em laugh, make 'em cry, make 'em lay down and die "
and goes..
