The Gold It's in the... Lyrics
they say there's gold and I'm looking for thrills
you can get your hands on whatever we find
' cause I've only come along for the ride
I don't care if we get there on time
everybody's searching for something, they say
I'll get my kicks on the way
who knows what will be waiting for me
I could sail forever to strange sounding names
faces of people and places don't change
to see the seagulls wheeling in the far distants skies
all I wanna tell you, all I wanna say
is count me in on the journey, don't expect me to stay

I totally love this song. It's like, Pink Floyd does the Steve Miller Band or something.
And I love La Vallee. If it didn't have a totally anticlimatic ending, I'm sure that I would be able to find it in non-bootleg form.

I love this song alot, OBC is a great album. I never saw La Vallee though, I'd like to

i like this song.......i dont know why many people dont like obscured by clouds i think it is a good album

THis is probably the easiest song on OBC to understand. :) Love it.

Guess what everyone. The Gold It's In The.... Firebin, LMFAO!!!

This song is about gold! GOLD!!! I really like this song. I would also like to go on a journey...And the prospect of gold only adds to the desire.

the narrator is looking for adventure and excitement "i'm lookin for thrills" and he isnt worried about getting things or becoming something "cause ive only come along for the ride". This is about a feeling of going places and seeing faces. It's about the journey and not the destination. It's all there in the lyrics.

great album!
I LOVE this song! It's about people trying to find gold everywhere they possibly can. The lyrics just give me goosebumps.

I was just kind of thinking about this and I believe sort of that gold is used figuratively... like just going along with life and finding your own gold, as in whatever makes you happy.
vida está buena, por el momento. meta sonrisa aquí.

I agree with burgadou 100%. Great song, awesome album. It's a shame OBC is so underrated =\
