This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
He pauses shaving and he tells himself that he is the bomb
She has her curlers set, her credit cards are paying the funds
He's not that old, I've been told, a strong sexual goal
They go out every day, she goes every way, oh yeah
They don't even care at all
She's open, waiting for more
And I know he's only looking to score
And it is way too unhealthy
Often they've typically been starved for attention before
She smokes a dozen and he doesn't seem to notice the smell
He took the seat off his own bike because the way that it felt
He wants to bone, this I know, she is ready to blow
They go out every night, his pants are super-tight, oh yeah
They don't even care at all
She's open waiting for more (she's open for more)
And I know he's only looking to score (he's only looking to score)
And it is way too unhealthy
Often they've typically been starved for attention before
She's open, waiting for more
And I know he's only looking to score
And it is way too unhealthy
Often they've typically been starved for attention before
She has her curlers set, her credit cards are paying the funds
He's not that old, I've been told, a strong sexual goal

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
I read in an interview that this song was inspired by a guy Tom lived with, Benji Weatherly. They were roommates and the now-pro surfer is known to be a total womanizer. This is probably from roommate Tom's point of view as he can see the relationships Benji has with chicks.
The guy in my trig class plays this song!

i think its kind of more then that. when your stuck in a relationship with someone, and all the meanings gone out of it other then sex, but you dont want to break up because you dont know that being alone would be an improvement. its kind of vulnerable people that get into this situation, those who have been starved for attention, because they dont value themselves enough to see a meaningful alternative as a real possibility
a song about swingers
Very Cool song. The song is also used in American Pie. It's about guys who want to score girls every time they go out.
Yeh and its about gurls that are fuck easy and just give into guys that they know are gonna use them
i read in an interview thats its about a guy who was a total womanizer ddue and everyone called him mutt.
i think i read someplace that this was about one of tom's friends, who was a pro surfer and had sex all the time.
This song is so awesome. It's about a couple who goes through life too obsessed with their own selfish existence to notice each other and what they're becoming
it's just a song about a guy and a girl who like to have sex and who don't really care about much of anything else. I guess that doesn't really matter, as long as they're having fun. It's not too deep. As long as it seems deep, that's all that matters.
