Join in my
Join in my child
And listen, digging through
My old numb shadow

My shadow's shedding skin
I've been picking scabs again
I'm down, digging through
My old muscles looking for a clue

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been
I've been wallowing in my own confused
And insecure delusions
For a piece to cross me over
Or a word to guide me in
I want to feel the changes coming down
I want to know what I've been hiding

In my shadow
My shadow
Change is coming through my shadow
My shadow
Shedding skin
I've been picking
My scabs again

Join in my
Join in my child
My shadow's
Closer to meaning

I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic
Insecure delusions
I wanna feel the change consume me
Feel the outside turning in
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured in

My shadow
My shadow
Change is coming
Now is my time
Listen to my muscle memory
Contemplate what I've been clinging to
Forty six and two ahead of me

I choose to live and to
Grow, take and give and to
Move, learn and love and to
Cry, kill and die and to
Be paranoid and to
Lie, hate and fear and to
Do what it takes to move through

I choose to live and to
Lie, kill and give and to
Die, learn and love and to
Do what it takes to step through

See my shadow changing
Stretching up and over me
Soften this old armor
Hoping I can clear the way by
Stepping through my shadow
Coming out the other side
Step into the shadow
Forty six and two are just ahead of me

I really don’t like this idea of it being about selling records or TooL being tedious for Maynard. One of the reasons APC was formed was because TooL were in a battle with lawyers due to recording writes when they’re producers or something changed. TooL thought they were in titled to record another album but the they’re new record company didn’t agree and when tool decided to take they’re stuff somewhere else they’re company tried to sue them for breaking a contract, this went on for years so during the time tool just toured on Opiate and Maynard started APC. He also stated that he feels more at home with tool than APC, which I think, is audible as it sounds so much.... Uh, you just can’t explain it. Like people have said before tool try to make they’re songs meanings apply to everyone, to me its about suffering from depression, this song helped me through some hard as shit times. I’m NOT talking about fucking ‘my parents hate me, I have no friend’ depression it was the real shit. Its about, yeah, just waiting out, this vampire- the cloud of people and ideas is trying to drain you and its getting so tiring you do just want to walk away- suicide. But you just gotta keep thinking of what you can have at the end of it, seriously anyone’s who has a rough time it helped me so fucking much, I swear and I’m so grateful no one will ever know how much. And all this shit about Maynard being god- please stop. If I was Maynard I would take offence as in many songs he makes fools of people who believe in gods and the idea of ‘god’ itself, I would feel seriously misunderstood and that my fans were complete dumbasses. Hey I dunno maybe he’s just a good old Christian full of sarcasm or whatever, but just please stop its irritating at religion itself.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
