Creature Feature Lyrics
Be Kind to every single body
Open to to light
Just let it flow through
My body
I'm unsure (2x)
I tell my baby
I'm creepin' into darkness
I don't want to start this
I'm attracted to darkness
Just feel the good in everybody
I'm unsure (2x)
I tell my baby
In my heart
I feel it weigh me down
So I reach up for
Wide blue sky
Try to pull it into
The deep arc of my arms
I'm creepin' into darkness
I don't want to start this
I'm attracted to darkness

This is one of the deepest 311 songs in my opinion. I think it's about wanting to do good things all the time and always be positive, but it's hard get past all that negative...sometimes you just want to let yourself "slip into darkness." It's about not taking the easy way through things and rising above that depression.

did you know that aaron wills wrote this song? and doug wrote lyrics?

I didn't know that....i thought it was sorta different...thanks for sharing!

its about a chick... s.a.'s ex g/f i believe

your all wrong. except BeautifulDisaster. and definetly not about SA's ex girfriend

this is the best band ever they can do moody songs like this or the funkiest ones like all mixed up with very deep meanings, how smart these lyrics are that can be applied to pretty much everything 311 ROCKS !!!!!!!!!

actually missxxchiquita is right because i read somewhere a direct quote from S.A. saying it is about his ex girlfriend

yes it is about SA's ex-girlfriend. SA himself has told us this, just look around 311's website and you'll see. This is basically a breakup song. SA is now alone...he's "slippin' into darkness"

I a HUGE 311 fan and i love all 311 songs off every album except for this one....sometimes i just dont feel it....the start is really good but when it gets into the chrous, it just doesnt sound good.

Im a pretty big 311 fan, but this is their worst song by far. I mean the chorus is just a bunch of random sounds with no order or melody, i think i hear a church bell...? If i was SA's g/f i would have broken up with him as soon as i heard this song... horrible...
