Hold everything dear, in your hand. In a moment it's gone, everything that you love disappears. Hold everything close, 'cause you may outlast it. Memories are all that remain of the way that it was. Watch it all go by, 'cause it's all that you can do. Everything changes so fast. For better or for worse, it was never up to you. Everything's changing so fast. Hold everything in.

You're a mess. It took years to attain and a second to tear it all down. Burn everything off, 'cause the feeling won't last. Memories are all that remain of the way that it was. Watch it all go by, 'cause it's all that you can do. Everything changes so fast. For better or for worse, it was never up to you. Everything's changing so fast. It's changing now. Listen, every single second counts. Every single moment leads up to now. This is the end of their life. This is the end of your life. This is the end of our life. This is the end of my life.

I like this song a lot. I just heard The Juliana Theory yesterday. It's different then the other songs I downloaded by them. But it's still really good. It does sound a lil pop, but the lyrics are good.

Well i think its awesome, the only song on that cd thats pop it is "somthing isn't right here" which is a pretty sucky song for them, but this song says that some other person is trying to hard to be someone they're not.

I like anything by The Juliana Theory. If any of their songs is pop, it's definitely "We're on the top of the world" Didn't Disney use that song?

I don't care what you call The Juliana Theory. The thing that makes them great, I think, is that they have such a variety of sounds to them. And this song, is one of my favorites. It takes such a different approach to the subject of being confused on life in gerneral. This time it's the girl, mostly it's the guy. And I think that he hit it perfectly how a lot of people feel. "everybody's scared that they'll be no one too". That's how I feel a lot. TJT is amazing.

My understanding is that this song was actually written somewhat as a joke. The guys from TJT were joking around with a friend who told them that a band doesn't get big until they have a song that says, "baby" in it. I like this song though, it's pretty catchy.

i love everything by the juliana theory... i'm going to see them soon w/ piebald and glassjaw... oh boy, so excited!!! but anyways... this song is great, i love the lyrics. "life's a riddle, here's a clue. you see a moment's only temporary let too many go and you'll be history too." it's like saying... live for all the little things. if you don't have any memories, you're life is going to pass you by. i live by that line. oh... and i agree... the "baby" kinda freaked me out when i first heard it, lol... but it really does fit. i like it

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
