Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la

Ships are docking, planes are landing
A never ending supply
No more narco, no more gangster
Conservatives can cry

I took the law and threw it away
'Cause there's nothing wrong, it's just for play
There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and give to the poor

Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la

Keep it glowing, glowing, glowing
I'm not hurting anyone
Keep it glowing, smoking, glowing
I'm howling at the moon

I took the law and threw it away
'Cause there's nothing wrong, it's just for play
There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and give to the poor

Winter turns to summer
Sadness turns to fun
Keep the faith, baby
You broke the rules and won

Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la

Oh baby, oh baby
Oh baby, oh baby

I took the law and threw it away
'Cause there's nothing wrong it's just for play
I'm smoking, baby
I'm smoking, oh baby

There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and give to the poor

Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la, sha-la-la-la-la-la

Dee Dee said in his book POISON HEART he wrote this song with a member of the Eurythmics, and it's about marijuana usage.

sweet, this is one my favs by the ramones, when i first heard the song and started listening to it, i was tryin to think what it might be about and the first thing that popped to my head is "it sounds alot like smokin" so wow i guess it really was, thats sweet, heres my pick at the song... ok i dont get the "howling at the moon" what that might mean but the lyrics are pretty straight forward "ships are docking planes are landing a never ending supply " obviously the large amount of pot and easily accessible drug and virtually endless amounts of it "no more narco no more gangster conservatives can cry" sorta sounds like the lust for its legalization, telling the gov to realize it such a minuscule problem compared to even legal substances like cigs and alcohol, to more NARCo's wasting time and money while could be focusing on other worse drugs, and it would decrease gang activity slightly since many gangs operate from selling, and obviously, conservatists wouldnt like the idea of legalizing but fuck them, they can go CRY "I took the law & threw it away cause there's nothing wrong it's just for play" again, its obviously illegal so hes breakin the law and as i agree, it is just for fun :) "I want to steal from the rich & give to the poor " : ) something i wanna do too! "it was glowing, glowing, glowing glowing in the dark it was sparkling, sparkling, sparkling sparkling in the night" reminded me of the glowing cherry on a joint and the sparkiling crystals on marijuana "I'm smoking, baby I'm smoking, oh baby " yup, amazing song & lyrics

I think it's about getting high in a way. Also, laughing in the face of the law by doing what you want.

I think its about weed too... but have you seen the music video?? they are trying to make it come across as a robin hood thing with a 'steal from the rich and give to the poor' theme

I love this song, probably has lots meanings. SOunds to be a bit like Robin Hood-a badass who doesn't care about the law and robs the rich to give to the poor-kick ass man This song was in the incredible indie Canadian film-ROAD KILL. JOEY RAMONE WAS ALSO IN THIS FILM

Zombie
Cranberries, The
"Zombie" is about the ethno-political conflict in Ireland. This is obvious if you know anything of the singer (Dolores O'Riordan)'s Irish heritage and understood the "1916" Easter Rising reference. "Another head hangs lowly Child is slowly taken And the violence caused such silence Who are we mistaken - Another mother's breaking Heart is taking over" Laments the Warrington bomb attacks in which two children were fatally injured on March 23rd, 1993. Twelve year old Tim Parry was taken off life support with permission from his mother after five days in the hospital, virtually braindead. "But you see it's not me It's not my family" References how people who are not directly involved with the violence feel about it. They are "zombies" without sympathy who refuse to take action while others suffer.
