Sometimes we only live for the here and now.
Sometimes we?re lonely.
Sometimes we feel we need a place to be grounded...
Or fly away again.
I will fly away again.
I feel rain pouring down.
I wait to rot away.
Live again.
Here forever.
The spiral never ends.
Why are we feeling something?s familiar around us?
Are we just dreaming?
Always we search for the answers but nothing is found.
We fly away again.
I will fly away again.

i liek the way the reincarnation and spiral point is emphasized by the piano in the beginning and end of the song (although the beginning is technically another song - the journey, but still)

Yep, it's about the neverending spiral dance of the Goddess in Wicca. Beautiful premise, nice song.

Obviously it's about history repeating itself. I think it's somewhat negative and positive at the same time, "fly away again" being the positive and "never ends" being the negative. My interpretation is... We all keep making the same mistakes... and we enjoy it. When he sings "I feel rain pourin down" I can imagine standing in the rain and singing those words throatily, wallowing in sad interpretations but taking total pleasure in the experience nonetheless.

Just found this song while looking at random Youtube videos, pretty good. I don't know anything about Wicca so I can't say if it matches with that version of reincarnation. To me it could simply be a comment on human nature. Same thing happening over and over with just a new face. Like you feel trapped and stagnant (rotting) in your life so you try to change it (fly away) and for a while we feel refreshed (I feel rain) then we begin to grow stagnant again and repeat it over again (live again, here forever).

Someone please respond to this with any ideas.

Sounds to me like to him, reincarnation is a punishment, and "I will fly away" is his hope to escape the spiral.... Just an idea!

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
