This song really helped me through a tough time. I think sometimes we christians believe that if ppl walk all over you, you should just sit back and take it. You are doing the person no favours by letting them exploit you. Infact, you are condoning their behaviour. There is nothing wrong with standing up and saying "You do this, it hurts me, please don't. Its killing me" The person may take this on board and be a better person for it. Thats what i think!
You can't force someone to see that God loves them and wants ALL of their life, not just part. If they aren't willing to let go of their worries and give everything to God, then there's nothing else we can do as Christians except pray that God will reveal himself to them. This song means alot to me right now because of the situation I'm in with someone I love, but I don't think she fully understands why having a relationship with God is so important. Deep down inside it's tearing me apart because I know there's no way we can "walk in stride if we don't see eye to eye." Therefore, all I can do is pray that she will see God for how I see him. And that she will trust Him with her whole life, not just part of it.
