Sat 'neath the eyes of the lofty skies
We were chained by the rain to the pain of our love
We kissed and cried
Held 'neath the bars of the tangling stars
We were pinned by the might of the warrior night
We kissed and cried.
O this time of love moves me.

The most beautiful song in the world - ever. The introduction, the guitar, the words, the sentiment, the era. Brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it in 1971 and I've loved it, and Marc, ever since.

I really loved this song in 74 when I first heard it. Completely misunderstood though. For me, It was about a girl saying to a guy called Lofty that she didn't love him anymore, she loved this other guy called "Moosmie". It made it a really sad song for me."Oh this time I love Moosmie".43 years later, I have no idea what the lyrics actually mean. Glad to help.
