I like the conversation that turns into a fight theory, but that ain't it. It's a love song written for his wife. From the mouth of the horse himself: "That was a song I wrote for my wife. I didn't think that she would be too happy if I wrote a song like Weenie Beenie about her, so I wrote a little love pop song called Big Me. It's just a cuddly little love song."

Basically, he starts a conversation which turns into a fight. "When I talk about it, Ares or treason all renew" Ares was the Greek god of war and treason can often lead to wars. "Big Me to talk about i, I could stand to provet" Being ironic about starting the conversation, sarcastically saying it took guts. "If we can get around it I know that it's true" saying that if they make peace, then they can put this certain argument in the past and move on.
I've been a fan of Foo Fighters since they formed. I searched for loose change around my house (with some help from my sister's piggy bank) to buy "The Colour and the Shape". Big Me was their first hit, and in my opinion, their best song. Simple.
this is a cute song, it always reminds of me of when i was juniour high age or so. the video was hilarious. i miss pat smear, though.

kinda lika a condom not feeling the same way as the real thing. But he wears it anyway because the Foo Fighters really try to emphasize the use of contraception during sex.

I've always thought that this song was about the beginning of a relationship. He goes on a date with a girl, tells all his friends about it (exaggerating everything) and a week later his new girlfriend wants to know why everyone is saying they slept together.
it could be about kurt talking about commiting suicide and or his heroin addictions. was supposed to be on nirvana's last album.

I badly need a rephrasing of the lines to be sure of what each means as I need to translate that song, which is sometimes written in the most awful way : Aries for Ares..etc.
