Oh, I didn't mean to yell
But sometimes I get beside myself
And oh, I didn't mean to rush you
But time keeps pushing so much
Oh, time keeps pushing so much
Your eyes stare at me in the dark
And I hope those eyes
Don't steal my freedom
My freedom

Oh, If I didn't give it all
When I stood you made me crawl
And oh, if you never heard the song
Then I could still hide down behind the wall
Then I could still hide down behind the wall
Your eyes stare at me in the dark

And I hope those eyes
Don't steal my freedom
My freedom
And I hope those eyes
Don't steal my freedom

My freedom, oh my freedom
Said eyes, those eyes
I said don't steal my freedom
Your eyes stare at me in the dark
And I hope those eyes
Don't steal my freedom

My freedom
Oh, my freedom
Your eyes stare at me in the dark
And I hope those eyes
Don't steal my freedom

My freedom
Oh, my freedom
Said eyes, those eyes
Said eyes, those eyes
I said don't steal my freedom

I love this song, and the whole message (my oppinion about the message, anyways =O) ). . . I've heard it many times, over and over again, and I just can't help loving it =O) I think this song is actually about some trouble he'd gotten after some song - either from a person or just trouble in the big picture. . . . 'Cause he says in verse 12-13 he actually says "If you never heard the song, then I could still hide down behind the wall". And then this is his way of saying he's sorry, but that it was an quick impulse, that he didn't really mean anything by. . . Well, just my thought =O)

This song is great. It's strong, meaningful and has a mix of great beats. In the song Scott Stapp seems to be speaking I assume to a loved one (maybe his wife) and apologizing for some kind of verbal conflict that they were involved in. He hopes that it won't lead to further conflicts because he loves her and would "loose his freedom for her" but he doesn't want to. The song does a good job of fitting in the message with the changing melody.

This is the most painful song I've ever heard. I always think of my ex-girlfriend and they way she would look at me in my truck at night when I took her home. Her eyes would shine and she looked so beautiful...

this song is, in my opinion, one of their best songs... gets you there in your soft spot... and about the girl... ooooooo... it's like he meets this girl that he fears will threaten his lifestyle and he doesn't want change forced upon himself

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
