Walkaways Lyrics
"I been to Boston before.
And anyways this change I been feeling
Doesn't make the rain fall"
No big differences these days
Just the same old walkaways
And someday
I'm gonna stay
But not today

i think this song is amazing, and exremely underrated.. i only wish it was more than minute and 12 seconds long

beautiful song, but what i like about it is that it is only a minute and twelve seconds long. its peaceful. though it reminds me of myself, always feeling the need to rush away and get away and since i pull myself away so much, its no big change and yes, someday i'll settle, but not today. fantastic lyrics.

right on agesixracer- dashboard is awesome- The beauty of this song is the simplicity. If it were five minutes long, it would not be as special. It was awesome when it was on party of five when bailey was walking in the court room for drunk driving charges!!!!

I agree guys...I also remember party of five...good stuff!

huh its not dashboard tms6879

It's about 1 night stands

This song reminds me of one of Dave's lyrics from Seek Up: "Everyday things change, but basically they stay the same." I think that this song is about the way all people go through seemingly significant changes in their lives, yet in the scheme of things, they are the same.

Yes, Tito, Adam has said the song's about one night stands. I think the length of the song is kinda symbolic towards what the song is about. You wish it would last but it leaves you there longing for more.

I don't think it's inclusive to one night stands. I think it could very well be a relationship, but it just becomes another failed one, tallied up on the wall. It doesn't become a big deal anymore because it seems to happen to him all the time.

it seems like the overriding theme of this song is the only constant in life is change. Also when Duritz sings "this change I been feeling doesn't make the rain fall", i think he is observing the insignificance of personal change. this is all just a guess of course, but it is the way i like to interpret it
