She hangs brightly from the tree
Wonders what she's done to me
I'm aware of your game
Come and watch me
Watch me come down
Takes me down deep and wide
Pulls me through to the other side
She's the winner of her game
Come and watch her
Watch her come down
It stays down
Sour in truth
Lies of lovin'
The story's cheap
She's the winner of her game
Come and watch her
Watch her come down
Deep and wide
Inside, inside, inside
Wonders what she's done to me
I'm aware of your game
Come and watch me
Watch me come down
Takes me down deep and wide
Pulls me through to the other side
She's the winner of her game
Come and watch her
Watch her come down
It stays down
Sour in truth
Lies of lovin'
The story's cheap
She's the winner of her game
Come and watch her
Watch her come down
Deep and wide
Inside, inside, inside

What's it about? Jeez, it's another one of those druggy sounding ones with an obscure meaning. I love the way the lyrics and music just seem to meander and swirl. Definitely a nice psychedelic effect. Love the organ!
I just get the sense you're supposed to feel hypnotized with a song like this. With the dark, bizarre lyrics, meandering music, and Hope's vocals, what else are you to do?

The story's too
She's the winner of her game

The whole album is about someone moving on from Roback. We as guys return to the past, don't know why & Im guessing he's returning to the tree & memories of her & she won when he gave in.
.
Further introspection...
.
Look at the album full of unrequainted love of a "Superstar in your own private movie": Blue Flower, Ghost on the Highway, Free, Taste of Blood, etc
& he's wandering lost of direction, which we all do after failed relationships.
Also, Hope sings the lyrics but if you listen/read them it's obvious Roback wrote them.
