Now dear children, pay close attention
I am the voice from the pillow
I have brought something for you
I have torn it out of my chest

With this heart, I have the power
To blackmail the eyelids
I sing until the day awakes
A bright light in the heavens
My heart burns

They come to you at night
Demons, ghosts, black fairies
They crawl out of the cellar shaft
And will look under your bed

Now dear children, pay close attention
I am the voice from the pillow
I have brought something for you
A bright light in the heavens
My heart burns

They come to you during the night
And steal your little hot tears
They wait until the moon awakes
And put them in my cold veins

Now dear children, pay close attention
I am the voice from the pillow
I sing until the day awakes
A bright light in the heavens
My heart burns

My heart burns

I have recently become a RAMMS+TEIN fan and I must say that this is probably one of their best songs ever. The song really has a foreboding/morbid theme to it. The guitar along with the orchestra give it more depth.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
