don't make me try to listen
to that ska-core crap
just bust out some metallica
or pop in spinal tap
you say that metal's stupid
wrong i think you need a reason
that's why i wrote this song
you say i don't care cause Satan is my best friend
oh i don't know but its alright
i want you to know i don't know what you said
cause something you should know my friend
is its much too loud for me to hear
i bash my head repeatedly
hard into the wall
and fast i will will i repeat brain damage
will i fall you can't expect that?
you don't think that's alright?
well i don't care cause
i'll listen to metal all night!

Ignorant song about outdated sterotypes associated with Metal. I could go on and on about the stereotypes associated with punk. Ironic that this band did a (horrible) cover of Megadeth's " Holy Wars"

avs2006 is right :) there is another song in the 2 minutes left, which is actually metal song.. I think they didn't wanted anyone to know they created metal song, so they wrote the first part, in which they made fun of metal :)

This song is not ignorant nor is it really sarcasm. THe true meaning behind it is about ignorant people on the whole. THey use the example of a metal head who doesn't listen to anything else but metal. I agree totally with this message they are trying to send to the listeners. I hate ignorant people myself. For example: I am very much into Christianity yet i don't try to put other religions down nor do i try to push my religion onto others. I think it's really ignorant and mean to hate others for their beliefs. SO that's just one example of this. RX Bandits do however love metal music though so don't take this example in their sog the wrong way. They are the complete opposite to the character they are playing in the song. They are extremely open to music. In some of there songs you can even find a mix of Punk, Ska, Jazz and Metal all fuzed into one song. There aren't many bands that are as versatile as that. Trust me.

@Kahiara Actually I think the husband passed away, "She sang for you last night She heard you were calling" Many people say they have felt, heard, or seen their loved ones after they have passed. "Don't be scared now Close your eyes She holds guard tonight Go on forward no remorse Life will take it's course" This is said to the late husband by a third part (never named), who encourages him to pass on. Because life will eventually continue. The phrase "holds guard" refers to the ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/… ) which is a Christian ceremony held after someone dies. Now it is usually held right after the funeral, but in most celtiic countries the wake is held before the funeral. "She danced with you last night so you will remember All you have shared, a lifetime." This sentence feels as if the only thing it wants to convey is their history together, namely, husband and wife. For the rest it just refers back to the first verse.

The man has pseudo-friends who constantly criticize his actions. They moralize him, "teach" him and advise him to make a significant change in his life, because the way he is and what he does is not what they say it should be. They may find his life lame or immoral. They hold themselves up as role models. The man replies that he will make his own choices and decisions and he does not agree to unconditionally make himself under the influence of questionable quality advice. He justifies this by saying that there is always someone for whom he will be important, no matter what he does and no matter what he is. Although it is not said directly, I read it as meaning that he will always be important to himself in every way and he will always have his own support. "Everyone is different and maybe that's a good thing, but you exceeded that mark 1000 times" - I remember very well how sad the words I once heard (from my peers and it was in negative context) at school made me feel.
