Kitchenware & Candy Bars Lyrics
somebody showed me, I was last to know
Sell me down the river
sell me down the river
sell me down the river
sell me down the river
what I wanted is what she wanted
unfriendly reasons, some blind mother's need
sell me down the river
sell me down the river
sell me down the river
what I wanted is what she wanted
they sell their words, but it's all a lie

theres a hidden track after this song and its weird as hell

thats right. before reading that ive always seen it as like an anti-record company type song. but the abortion interpretation makes perfect sense.

Nevermind I listened to the song again and now I can see why it's about abortion.

Weiland's wife got pregnant and they had an abortion. Not sure if it's with his first wife or Mary [his current.] Either way, this song is about abortion. Such a great song.
had to be his first wife... he and mary were just friend during the core era

actually i dont think it was either of his ex wives... just some gilfriend he had before them

In concert, Scott's introduced this one by saying it's about when he and his wife had an abortion. Sometimes guys'll just say stuff about songs to throw you off, but i don't think he was.

It's about an abortion him and his girlfriend at the time decided to have when he was younger. He never married the girl though

this song is about an abortion scott had with an old girlfriend from back in the day... he said so himself on VH1 story tellers before they played this song
although the title does allude to a brick of heroin

another stp song whos title has nothing to do with the song

possibly STP's finest moment

Robert De Leo (the bands bassist) wrote the chords to the song while out on the road, he was exhausted & homesick so that's what inspired the tracks melody. I've heard rumors the song may be about abortion, Scott (who wrote the songs lyrics) has mentioned it was about betrayal.
